Laptop Recommendations - up to £500

Hi all

So, i'm after a new laptop and have up to £500 pounds to spend - although i dont need to spend it all if i can help it!

Main requirements are:

I would like an i3 core
I need a numerical keypad (I also like the idea of having backlit)

It will be used to surf the web, serve as a remote business machine doing bookkeeping work and teach myself java when i get a chance ;)
Also will run office etc...

So, it doesn't need to be a heavy-weight. I just want to buy something with a decent enough build quality to last a few years but not sure if i need to be shelling out for a vaio, samsung type build??

If anyone knows of or currently uses a laptop they love that they bought or would recommend i would be very grateful

Many thanks :)
