    I'd send them another E-Mail telling them that you don't propose to pay and then you'll know for certain what they will do. It certainly seems they have failed to send you up to date information at the outset of your contract, so they have a very weak case should they decide to pursue you through the courts. I doubt it will come to that...
  • Thank you to you both for your replies. I think that I will send another email and just say that as I did not authorise them to act on my behalf for this claim and they haven't contacted Egg, it was Egg who contacted me, I am not going to pay them!

    Will keep you updated!

    Now I just need to carry on chasing Egg for them to send the money through to me.........
