Cheque clearing

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can shed some light? I wrote a cheque from my account (Natwest account) does anyone know if this can go out on a Saturday? Or will it go out Monday? I notice all my direct debits that fall on the weekend go out on he next working day- is this the same for cheques

    If it goes out on the monday it will show as going out on Saturday
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

    When it goes out will in many ways depend on who it is made out to. pays it into their account.

    A cheque could debit your account on a Saturday however the transaction will be dated for Monday.

    If the payment takes you overdrawn providing you pay in cleared funds by 2.30pm on Monday the cheque will be paid.
