My company's redundancy policy says "management will consult with affected individuals and groups prior to selection decisions being made about individual or collective redundancies".
At the meeting where I was told I would be put at risk, I was informed that the selection process had already happened, and that I was the person selected.
What should I do? Is this regarded as a minor transgression, or a major issue for the employer?

Sorry to read about this.
It's the position not the person that is redundant. Is there only one person (ie you) doing the job that you do?Your biggest asset is TIME! I'm focused on multi-generational financial freedom.0 -
No, there are five of us. I believe I'm the only one who has been told I am at risk, based on this scoring exercise.Listerbelle wrote: »Sorry to read about this.

Your policy is correct, what should happen is that you are told you are at risks and then over a period of time, usually about 2weeks you should receive consultation meetings inviting you to discuss your employment. It is during these meetings where you can query your scores and challenge them if you have evidence. They are right to have started off the selection process as they need to score everyone and then place the lowest scorer at risk.
After two or more consultation meetings you will be invited to final meeting which will state that the meeting is led to serve you notice.0
