Jolly good idea IMHO Benefits Claimants should have reductions on things just like Pensioners. Attitudes might change if that was the case.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

I don't think anyone [on MSE] has ANY idea of just how unequal Benefits Claimants are in relation to say Pensioners where at least there is a consciousness of need/low income.

I do wonder why Income Support isn't included though? After all, Income Support is also for those on a low income (and also some people still claim it for disability as some claimants haven't been transferred to ESA yet - myself included, yet ESA and IB are included).2019 Wins

I think they should also do this for people who have medical exemptions for prescriptions. I believe this would include cancer suffers. Just thinking that when you're at home keeping away from others because of your compromised immune system or dealing with the aftereffects of chemo, it is good to be able to send a card to your wellwishers.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

I'm suprised that Incapacity Benefit is included because generally IB doesn't qualify you for anything automatically e.g. free dental care, eye tests, prescriptions etc.0

Thank you for the heads up :A I for one did not see this posted previously.
I have not received the voucher although there are a few days to go until the 18th. Not surpringly, the online form to request a voucher is not working. If voucher does not arrive, I shall have to phone their 0845 number.

I'm absolutely with you on this Morticia! Those who get Income Support on the grounds of disability (and haven't been transferred yet) aren't eligible. So we're in the situation where my DP qualifies yet I don't despite us being in a joint claim!!0 -

It's just a bit weird! Income Support is normally included in things like this as it's a means-tested benefit so alot of people on it are on a low income, yet IB is included when you can have thousands in savings and still claim it.
I'm just not used to things being done this way! lol.2019 Wins
