Thank you so much you have helped so much.
Just to understand a levy is a charge placed on goods and if you don't pay when stated they remove goods (if entered). So levy comes first.yes they levy the car give you x days to pay then they could remove it

on the council tax issue
received another letter posted royal mail from runnels
phoned them and they will only accept £382 over 3 months for my council tax debt
i havent agreed to this nor has the bailiff made ant levys on goods, car or gained entry to my property
do i just keep paying the council each month via the online system and keep the bailiff out
i was told by the person on the phone that they now act on behalf council on arrest warrants issued
i know this is a bluff but is worrying
thanks for any advice

they told me that the payment plan i proposed wasn't enough each month0

continue to pay on-line ignore the bailiffs
you should also get in touch with your local councillor and MP ask them to intervene your behalf include a copy of the e-mail you sent and the reply tell them you cant agree to this as you simply dont have the funds to pay £382 per monthI am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites

hi just a update and a bit of advice please
i have been paying the amount i outlined in the letter i sent to the bailiffs and the council for the last 2 months paying abit each week and making sure the amount i outlined in the letter is paid by the end of the month via the council online payments
i received a posted letter from the bailiffs today
prior notice of intended proceedings
all it states is council tax debt it does not say for how much or anything like that
they have not entered my house or levied any goods
is this just for me to contact them and pay them rather than the council ?
thanks0 -
Hi
1. have you ever asked the Council to provide you with details of the value of the liability order?
Do you have a breakdown of fees that the bailiffs are trying to charge?
The decision to proceed to court is NOT taken by the bailiffs. The only people who can do that are the Council.
Most importantly, you have been making payments against the debt.
How much have you paid so far?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hi ras
I haven't asked the council for a breakdown yet
And the bailiffs haven't given me a breakdown of there charges
I have been paying via the council online system and have paid £270
Do I contact the bailiffs about this recent letter or just keep paying the council
Thanks0
