Running a red light - how long til receive fine?

I know if you're to be fined for running a red light you should receive notifcation within 14 days - but is it 14 straight days or 14 working days?

My daughter was offered a course instead of points, cost her £80 and only lasted 2 hours.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

The days are for a NIP to be sent to the keeper, not issue a fine. (And that is 14 "straight" days)0

God I hope I am! I'll pay any fine but I really don't want the points and am kicking myself that it might affect my insurance...all because of a mistake that I instantly regretted and have been torturing myself about ever since.0
