in Credit cards
my son has a loan for 2500. can he pay this off with a credit card. would this class as a balance transfer or loan (have 0% on both)

Some cards allow 0% cash into your current account (from where you can settle the loan), for a fee of between 1% and 4%.
So which card is it?0
