First Utility - Should I Do It?

Hi Folks,
Looking at switching energy suppliers just now, with the looming increases I'm looking to get a fixed deal.
First:Utility have come out tops in terms of potential savings, but from doing a google search and a search on here, the feedback doesn't seem that positive. However, are they truly any worse than BG who I am with just now?
If they were that bad, would Martin still be recommending we switch to them (even without any words of caution?).
Cheers,
Chef

I'm sure a quick google will find some interesting feeback about them too
At least they'll be reassuringly expensive, I guess0 -
Who knows?, I've had a very good exp with bg, pretty good with scottish power and not very good with fu. Your experience is clearly different to mine so the same may well apply to fu.0

Thanks Ollski, what kind of problems have you had with FU?0

Hi had to wait 3 months for first monthly leccy bill and 7 months for gas. 'smart' gas meter never gave a reading back to fu in the 16 months I was with them, ended up overpaying 200 or so after all the estimated bills I never managed to get back. The leccy smart meter never came with a display unit just a tracker app on google which was pointless....don't know what equipment they use now.
Oh and they usually come out cheapest because of the cashbacks, these have plenty of tie-ins on them.0
