RBS/Santander Change Over

Has anyone else had a problem with their RBS credit card? I received two letters yesterday: one charging me a late payment fee of £12, the other stating my credit limit had been reduced becaused of a missed payment. I called the RBS credit card services and was told that my DD had been cancelled. Naturally, I asked who had cancelled it, and they were amazed it was not myself. Having been put on hold for 3 or 4 minutes (at my cost, may I add), I was informed that Santander had cancelled my DD due to the changeover, and that I would have to call them to reinstate it! Needless to say, written letters have been sent to both banks asking for answers, but I just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this abhorrent action?
