Aqua - a few questions.

in Credit cards
Hi, I'm just after a bit of advice.
I currently have a Halifax One Credit Card which I use purely for buying groceries and petrol. Mainly as a budgeting tool in the sense that that is kept separately from everything else.
I have thought about getting the Aqua card for the cashback but wondered a couple of things - is cash back paid every year, or just the first one? How is the cash back paid and are there any hoops you have to jump through to get it or is it straightforward?
The card I use currently is paid off in full on time, every time - the money is set aside before it's spent so there would be no problems with that side of things. Do you think it would be a good idea for me to get one?
Thanks,
Oops.

It's credited to your account on each anniversary. No hoops involved.0

It's permanent until they change it.
They can change their terms and conditions whenever they like but they have to give you some notice.
No-one knows when they will change it.How is the cash back paid
Credited to your account.
As it's only £100 it's easier to spend it but you can get a refund if you wanted.and are there any hoops you have to jump through
You need to meet the terms and conditions, so pay on time and don't go over our limit. Nothing special beyond keeping your nose clean.Do you think it would be a good idea for me to get one?
For £100?
Yeah I reckon so.0 -
Thanks for the replies - seems like a no brainer! DH was worried that as it is a sub prime card, it would affect my credit rating but I believe the fact that it is sub prime doesn't show, just that it's a credit card and the relevant payment history.
Think I'll apply tonight. I have an old Capital One Classic from years ago when I had no other credit - this hasnt been used for as long as I can remember! Shall I close this first?0 -

Indeed, it will not even say its from Aqua.
You can close the other account if you wish, but your credit report might not be updated until December, since we are half way through October now.0 -
Thanks. I think I'll just close the other one. I have no need for it. DH has 2 credit cards that we use (and are in the process of paying off on 0%).
I was just concerned that as I only work part time and my earnings are not much, it might hinder any more credit. I'll apply anyway and see what happens. My current available credit is a lot less than half of my annual salary which I've read is often used to decide what credit you can have.0 -

I think it shows YOU who it's from but anyone else looking at your report will just see it as a credit card...please let me know if this is wrong though!0 -

Much as I would be happy to tell you you're wrong, you are indeed correct.
