I was transfered on to ESA Wrag group last March after attending a Medical in December and thankfully passing !! but I thought I would only be getting ESA for a year so it would run out in March (the whole thing has been really confusing and my mind has been all over the place) but low and behold an envelope has just landed on my mat for me to fill in another ESA50 and telling me my Incapacity is due to run out ! so now I am totally confused !, so I rang up the Job centre were I have had to go for "work related" interviews (which have been just a chat about my bad health during which the advisor said you are never going to be fit enough to work again !) lady at the Job Centre said she was confused too !! but fill the forms in and send them off !! .....has anyone else had this problem ??, can you answer or help ?....thanks for looking

I think you're confusing two different things here.
1/ If you are on contribution based ESA then yes it only lasts one year before you would have to be assessed for income based which depending on circumstances you my not be eligible for.
2/ You can be assessed for ESA at anything between 3 month and 3 year intervals to see if you remain eligible on health grounds. This is why the ESA 50 has been sent.
This means for instance that come March your contribution ESA will end even if you are still deemed too ill to work.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
