My daughter is going tro buy a samsung quad core wifi tablet,she has bee told she can use her mobile phone as a wifi modem,is this right,i thoughtr the tablet would need 3G

Its called 'Tethering'....the mobile is the 3G device and the tablet connects to your mobile via Blue tooth but I don't think all contracts allow tethering,so be careful.0

She should make absolutely sure that her contract with t-mobile allows data tethering as many don't. It may be posssible to purchase an add-on from them otherwise she could be redirected to their mobile broadband site and asked to pay an extra charge.
I'm on the Orange Panther tariff which specifically allows data tethering but usage comes out of my 500 m/b monthly limit which could easily get used up when linked to a pc or tablet.
First stop is to read the fine print of her specific contract. If it allows tethering then it's easy to connect the two devices.0
