We're celebrating 5 Million PS3 consoles sold in the UK to date! Whilst we were stuffing our faces with cake in the PlayStation UK office, we figured that we'd say thanks to our fantastic gaming community by giving away a 500GB Super Slim PS3 with a 90 day PlayStation Plus subscription to boot.

To enter this competition, all you need to do is email [EMAIL="accesslive@scee.net"]accesslive@scee.net[/EMAIL] with your full name, delivery address, contact telephone number and date of birth. The competition is open to UK and Ireland residents now and closes on 12th October at 13:59 BST. You'll need to be 16 or over to enter. Full terms and conditions can be found below.

Entry Rules

1. The Access 5 Million PS3's Competition (“Competition”) is open to persons aged 16 years or over who are residents of United Kingdom and Ireland (“Entrant Countries”) except employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, its associated companies, their agents, or anyone else professionally connected with the Competition (“Entrants”).

2. The Competition is open for entries on 11 October 2012 at 14.00 (BST) and closes for entries on 12 October 2012 at 13.59 (BST) (the “Competition Period”).

3. To enter this Competition, entrants must complete the following steps during the Competition Period:

a. Compose an email to [EMAIL="accesslive@scee.net"]accesslive@scee.net[/EMAIL] using the subject line “Access 5 Million PS3's”. Entrants must also include the following information in their email:

(1) Full Name
(2) Postal Address
(3) Date of Birth
(4) Contact Telephone Number

b. By entering this Competition Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

4. Registration for PlayStation®Network will require parental consent for those under 18 years of age and is subject to acceptance of the PSN Terms of Service and User Agreement and PSN Privacy Policy.

5. Entrants may only submit one entry and will only be eligible to win one prize.

6. Entrants must adhere to the General Rules and in particular, to sections 7 and 8. In addition, entries must not contain any (i) pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit imagery, (ii) abusive, offensive or hateful imagery or language, (iii) harassing or defamatory content, (iv) content that compromises the privacy or safety of yourself or others, (v) content that demeans a particular gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, ethnicity or nationality, (vi) violent or dangerous behaviour, and/or (vii) spam, advertising or other commercial activities.

7. There will be 1 winner. The winner will be selected at random from the emails sent. The winner shall be notified of their selection within 48 hours of the Competition closing via email to the address the Entrant used to enter the Competition.

8. The winner will win 1x 500GB PlayStation 3 console and 1x 90 PlayStation Plus trial. The total value of the prize is £200.

9. The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to send the prize to the winner by email within 48 hours of the winner claiming their prize.

10. If the prize is found to be ineffective, faulty or damaged upon receipt, the Promoter must be notified in writing within seven days of receipt, otherwise the prize will be deemed to be accepted as received. This does not affect your statutory rights (if any).

11. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, publish each winner’s name on the Promoter’s website(s). Each winner’s details will be made available on request to those enclosing a stamped SAE marked Access Japan Expo to the following address: Sony Computer Entertainment UK Limited, 10 Great Marlborough Street, London W1F 7LP United Kingdom within 6 weeks of the closing date specified above.

12. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of the Terms and Conditions or incorrect, illegible, fraudulent or other invalid or improper information has been provided, the Promoter may at their sole discretion refuse to process an entry or fulfill any prize awarded.

In my competition entry email to them, I have kept the incorrect subject header, but told them in the main body how they are wrong! I probably wouldn't have won anyway but at least someone else is slightly less stupid now
