Absolutely getzls - and I am thankful for old-fashioned NZ early schooling that ensured this.

How about Shippams Paste, on promo @ 26p per jar or 3 for £1?
, available in an East Anglia near you.
Agree with middy too. Some things, e.g. value tissues[which adjective is now banished] are sectioned away and down, like steerage pariahs, from the rest of the range.
I jot down prices as I go round, check receipt before leaving, so often means DTD my side of the transaction, not Mr T's.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

100g of coffee for £2.84
200g of coffee for £3.76
300g of the same coffee for £1.99!
This was in Tescos last weekend, and I don't think it was on offer, either. Needless to say, there's 12 jars in the office at the moment 💙💛 💔0 -

What coffee is that?0 -
Also the funny pack sizes (that there is no logic for) that only seem to appear for a "special offer", used to only have small size, large and then refill/extra value pack, now there is small, medium, large, refill/extra value, special offer size pack, etc....etc..
Muller mini corners there is a 4 pack, 6 pack, 8 pack, 12 & 16pack and each supermarket promotes a different one coca cola share size depending on which supermarket it will be either 1.25 litre or 1.5 litre finish tablets depending on where you shop it will be a 39 pack or a 42 pack or a 48 pack and i cant belive its not butter asda sell a 400g usually for £1 everywhere else 500g for £1 there are loads of others too.0 -
I remember buying some sensodyne in Tesco. I had voucher, but I think it was about £1.70 without it, roughly.
Next time I was in I saw it was buy one get 1 free and it was about £3/£4!0 -
Babybels are another example I've noticed in the past at Tesco. I can't remember the exact amount, but say a 6-pack costs £1 but a 12-pack costs £1.50... Of course it makes more sense to buy the 12-pack, but I see so many people who don't!
I always now look at the costs per unit/per 100g/whatever unit they use! It would be stupid not to... So I can only assume that lots of people are stupid.Because it's fun to have money!

Babybels in our two local T's have been 6 for £1 or 12 for £3 for quite a while now,I think the offer finished about two weeks ago, then they were doing the same offer in C0-Op.
Some Cat food pouches have also been reduced in size to 85g from 100g but stayed the same price.
I said to my OH last weekend that I feel sorry for vulnerable and old people as the minefield when using supermarkets looking for bargains is getting worse.0 -
