Hello MS Experts
Thanks to you guys I have managed to sell my car for £3000. Now out of this I am gonna spend £2000 paying off some debt, but since I need to a car, i will buy a trade car for £1000. Now could you please suggest me how can I buy a car which will last me atleast 2 years and I only pay nothing more than £1000.
I have tried ebay and autotrader nothing much there. Please advise me asap as I need another car within next 4 days.
many thanks

There's never any guarantees that any car will last you for 2 years, even if you bought it new!! The only other places you could try is the small ads of your local paper, and garages that do the 'guaranteed finance' for people with adverse credit, as they usually take a car as deposit, and sell them on very cheaply. I've had a coupla good cars this way over the years. Best recommended is a Peugeot diesel engine, whatever model, as they can keep going for 250k miles, and you can pick up some bargains! Just look how many taxis there are with Peugeot diesel engines!! Don't be tempted into the credit tho, lol!! Happy Hunting!0

I agree with Joe, there are no guarantess when buying new cars never mind used cars. My advice would be to buy japanese - but for £1000 you may not be that sucessful. You would at least need a car with 12 months MOT, a full service history with invoices and a firm grip on when the timing belt was last changed. You could try https://www.honestjohn.co.uk and https://www.reliabilityindex.co.uk for a start. Most cars will last you for 2 years but the trick is not to spend too much on them, which unless you are good with a spanner is unlikely. Good lucj whatever you decide.
