First time buyer looking for best gas/elec comp?

Hello all! Tried a search but can't seem to find this.
Fiancee and I have just bought our first house and there is plenty about switching gas and elec companys but we are just moving in and need to know the best company to start with? Any ideas greatly appeciated cheers.

You need to register with the existing provider(s) and give them your meter readings.

Use a reputable comparison service such as energyhelpline to compare providers and get cashback. There is an option for if you don't know your consumption.
