Its a credit account, so no reason why they cant be included, any change of returning some of the £6,000 worth of goods?

You have to add Littlewoods. Who isn't sure? In a DRO you must list all your liabilities.
  • I went to the citizen advice & they weren't sure if little woods would be able to be added or if they were would want it all returning ( which is impossible now), I don't want to go through this DRO, if at the end its not accepted, hence getting all the info I need before hand, really appreciate all advice

I don't know whether this could be relevant to you or not but my partner had a Littlewoods account with payment protection. They were able to claim under this for 12 months.

Have you checked with Littlewoods to see if you have payment protection care on your account?

You may be able to make a claim under this cover, dependent upon when you took the cover out and when you were made redundant.

There may be a wait time before you are able to claim but would certainly be worth checking out too.

    Good luck! :)

(And yes - include everything that is a credit agreement on your DRO if you go down that route.)

    Hi,
I would imagine that your CAB may have been concerned that you obtained £6000 of credit so close to a DRO application. Potentially their fear for you would be that the creditor would object.
Thing is, in your case, you bought some goods and was made redundant -pressumably with no prior warning?
There are no questions within the DRO application that would bring up this situation and most certainly does not prevent you obtaining a DRO, but it may make a creditor objection more likely (or not!).
You need to be able to potentially explain the position - ie bought goods, was working, thought I could pay, lost job, can't pay.

  • Thank you every one, i will check out if I have payment protection.
dept doctor: thanks, i did not have a clue I was going to lose my job, Im a nanny and my family simply cannot afford one any more, there is no way of predicting these things, i would just die though if some dept collector can to my flat wanting to remove stuff:(

    Thanks once again:beer:T

Assuming you realised that paying back £6,000 worth of goods over 52 weeks would be around £460 a month...maybe ask your son for a contribution?

Have you any other debts or just this one?

I got my son some things as he is on a very low wage, my choice not his so i wouldn't want to put the worry on him.
