I recently changed my gas & electricity provider, which over the years I have done a number of times and as usual it was very straightforward and all done by my new provider. Are there any companies who do the same with TV, broadband, and phone ? It would make it so much easier to swop.

Almost all the comp sites do telecoms as well as utilities, just Google it.
The best free research resource on broadband is samknows, just do an exchange search for your LLU providers.
