Wrought iron gates. How much?

Hello, I wonder if someone in the know can give me approximate guidance on the cost of a pair of wrought iron gates - fitted. The gap to fill is 10 feet wide and the height of the gates ideally will be around (say) 8 feet. An accurate approximation will be nice before I start bothering people. Thank you.

Many years ago I used to make wrought iron gates, but I would suggest these could well be into the 4 figure price category.

Take into account the heaviness of the steel used and how ornate the design.

So much depends on the design you choose, a simple gate may only be a quarter of the price of something more ornate.

My guess is well into four figures . Seem to remember just one of those metal fans that spread between two levels of railings worked out at around £600+ in London .It will depend on design, area, and whether its wrought iron or cast iron. If you ring a forge, they will enlighten you.
