Just a word from one who has done this - keep well clear, as whatever treatments have been painted onto the old shed over the years will help it burn in a possibly quite spectacular way

Afternoon All
Main shop today and Aldi was heaving at 9am  It used to be lovely and quiet on a Thursday morningOh well might start shopping on Tuesday's instead.
Was nice and bright this morning but raining now and I have washing on the line, it can stay there for a while, I am not going to hobble out and get it all in, when it might dry up later.
Bitsy those thick fleece blankets have now been reduced to £5.99..........shush (couldn't resist and bought 4) shushDD and her BF have just gone down to town and I am going to get the chicken on in a little while. We are having a chicken chow mein with egg fried rice for dinner, I love when DS is home and that we all eat at 2:30, the only days that we don't are Monday and Friday when DS is at college.
bargainbird it never rains when it pours does it (((((Hugs))))) positive vibes for Maude and enjoy your nap x

Hi all.
Rotten night last night (nightmares – after-effects of visit to the GP, nothing to worry about) so having a quiet day today, and just seeing to the dogs' needs. Dins will be pasta in cheese sauce, which I can make on autopilot.:D
Flutterby, yep, GP at 07:00. Our surgery opens at that time three days a week, to cater for people who need to visit out of work hours; I need Mr LW to come with me as I can't manage the wheelchair by myself, so we go then so that he can be away to work on time.:o
Hester OMG, are you OK? Mobbed?? Sounds very, very unpleasant.
Nmlc GWS vibes for your sis.:o
Adelight glad you've managed to find a guardianship; that should help the ol' finances.:o
I've just given the dogs their lunchtime biscuits, and they are now pestering for a game, so I suppose I'd better oblige them.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Think Lou will be off to hospital soon - apparently she is starving hungry xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hello all! :hello:
Busy day and haven't stopped 'til now. I've spent the morning making bits and bobs as I have a little hobby business and I'm hoping to earn a few pennies at craft fairs this winter. I might not be able to make up OH's wages but it might make the difference between being able to afford the 'C' word this year... or not.
I've also replaced the screen on my laptop, as we were given one with a broken screen by a friend. We've limped along being able to see less and less of the screen but I decided enough was enough and bought a new screen off ebay. I'm really proud of myself for managing to replace itIt was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be! And it means we have a perfectly serviceable laptop for the princely sum of £20! :T
Off to work in a minute then tonight my main job is to persuade OH to put his work history on paper so I can do his CV. But I shall also do a few loads of laundry and hopefully list some items on Etsy / Folksy. Oh, and I have to sort out a giant mistake I made on ebay
I know I don't know any of you yet but I hope everyone has a good day x0 -
A bit of a crazy day here and can't believe it is this time already

Hi all,
Thank you for asking about my purse-I asked Dh if he'd seen it when he got home,he went and got it straight out of a drawer:mad:-think he hid it to stop me spending any money.Mind you,I did think I'd already looked there so can't blame him entirely.I didnt think I'd lost it outside but it was a relief.
Sorry didnt reply earlier,I saw some of you asking but not till late last night when you were all prob tucked up in bed.Just been really busy with the carpet & suite cleaning. The carpets and 1 sofa have come up really well(ended up having the stairs and landing done too) but we are a bit disappointed with a grey corner unit.Might have a scrub with stardrop s now the worst is off
Chicken in some form tonight-not decided yet.I made some flapjacks the other day but they were very crumbly, and I lined the tin with baking parchment and they stuck to it,so bit of a disaster really:o Iused to do them really well,so dont know what's changed-apart from my oven.
I want to make a start on my Christmas card making soon, well I did start about a month ago but had to forget it during decorating. My friend up the road is taking a stall on our local Victorian Christmas market and says she'll put some on if I want. She does paintings and usually does ok,she says some cards (or any other bits I want to do) would brighten it up a bit:)
Molly glad you are brighter.
BB-glad Maud hasnt been sick.Did you get the script for her meds sorted?
nmlc-happy to hear sis op went well.
Good luck and best wishes to Lou
Adelight-good news about,guardianship:j
LW-sorry you had nightmares-
I had weird dreams last night, brought on by DGD trying to stick her fingers in the plug sockets:eek:Most of them have covers, but cos I've shifted my dressing table to the other side during cleaning, the one down the side wasnt hidden like it usually is.She is getting very mischievious since she turned 1
Hope you all have a good afternoon, love & hugs x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0
