Click on Vehicle Enquiry and you can search by registration (note it is not completely up to date - at least a couple of weeks or so out of date - not sure why as surely computers could work off a live or near live database?).
the reason i asked the question was that i had a car that was in a bad accident and they tried to repair it and the chassis was so badly twisted that it kept jumping off the jig(chassis straitner) and they said it would be scrapped as it would be a danger for anyone to drive if it was repaired.
and guess what dvla website above says it is now taxed and on the road. and some poor unsuspecting person is driving around in it...wish it would give the owners details i owuld be straight on the phone to them as they could be carrying children in this wreck.worst of all they could lose control of the car and they could maim or kill someone elseneed to have a lightbulb moment0
