Cross country - M62 or A628?

When I was much younger, I drove Hull to Bradford and Hull to Preston on regular basis and nearly always took the A645, A628 or A638 over the M62 since
- my clapped out Chevette made a hell of a racket at 70mph
- I found the drive less stressful and more interesting
- there was a great transport caff near Pontefract
I need to think of something new here...0 -
Take any alternative to the M62! Imo it is the 2nd worst motorway after the M250
