I had a parcel go missing for the first time, admittedly only £6. I sent a linkbto the RM website ans explained that it would not be officially classed as lost until 15 working days had passed since expected delivery. She waited until it had passed but on the 15th day l promptly refunded her. So some people would wait. There can be all sorts of delays.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

It is a dangerous game to play though and not for those who value their expanded dashboard. Very few buyers would wait 3 weeks for a refund, and I suspect a great many would just go for a case as soon as a seller even intimated that would be the case.
I rarely leave poor feedback or stars but would certainly knock the communication stars for any seller who told me that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I do value my expanded dashboard. She hasn't dinked my stars, left me positive fb. If a buyer is being a bit antsy about it then the seller should refund sooner, I agree.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

The problem is that you just don't know which way a buyer will jump. At time you have told me I need to wait 3 weeks for my refund I had already decided on your stars.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Your item cost £6 - and the OP's item costs £50.
I'd be happy to be patient over £6, but I find anyone being told to 'be patient' over £50 a bit alarming. It's a lot of money to have paid without anything significant to show for it.
The more I've paid out, the more I would ding stars. I haven't negged anyone for four years, or left a neutral for two years, and most of my eBay purchases have been below £10 anyway. But were I to be told by a seller who was holding £50 or more of my money to be patient, the dispute would be opened right then and non-positive feedback would be forthcoming."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

When did anyone here "arrogantly demand" patience from buyers? I certainly didn't. I don't necessarily expect patience, competence, manners or even honesty from eBay buyers - but I do appreciate those qualities.
Your post came across that way. It's not your position to demand people be patient when that sort of money is at stake. The money belongs to your buyer, not to you, until they get the item, so ordering me - a paying customer about - is pretty damn rude in itself.
If you appreciate those qualities then you need to think about what the relationship between buyer and seller really is and adjust the way you see things to the realities of the situation. The OP is out £50 and has nothing to show for it after two weeks...and you are telling her to have some patience.
Perhaps try putting yourself in their position and see how you would feel if you'd paid that sort of money for something and it had not arrived after a similar length of time."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
