Have done my inventory... What should I do with....

Well, I have done my fridge, freezer and cupboard inventory, and have some great ideas as to how to use some of the items up.
But... I have some random items that I'm not sure what to do with, so I'm handing it over to you guys!
Jar of Bradley apple sauce (did a joint of pork a while ago, and this was left over, FYI I don't usually do roasts)
A pile of 'plastic cheese' (the slices, bought for burgers at a BBQ)
A jar of preserved lemons (use for the Jamie Oliver tagine recipe, but surely can be used for other things?)
Half a can of cocoa powder
Oh, and 2 packets of taco mix ~ can that be used the same as fajita mix? Would it taste about the same? Bought by my house sitter, never made tacos!
That's it for now, enjoy puzzling that one out!
Feel free to merge with other inventory threads later

Jar of Bradley apple sauce (did a joint of pork a while ago, and this was left over, FYI I don't usually do roasts) I would just keep this rather than trying to use it up. Or what about pork steaks rather than a roast.

We have burger in a bun with wedges throughout the year, so I'd use this anyway.
A jar of preserved lemons (use for the Jamie Oliver tagine recipe, but surely can be used for other things?) Never bought these, I they the same as lemon slices in drinks? if so I'd put them in drinks.
Half a can of cocoa powder Make a cake or use as cocoa as in the hot drink.
Oh, and 2 packets of taco mix ~ can that be used the same as fajita mix? Would it taste about the same? Bought by my house sitter, never made tacos! I've never made tacos either.
I'm not all together sure I've really helped you0 -
How about pan frying pork chops/steaks, then topping with some apple sauce and cheese slices and putting them under the grill until the cheese is melted & bubbling? (I usually use grated cheddar but I'm sure the slices would work just as well)0

Great ideas so far, as for lemons, they're preserved in salt water, so probably not great for drinks!0

No I guess not. Whoops, I usually seem to suggest better ideas than that one. Can't even claim to have had a drink as an excuse, unless you count coffee.

You could bung a lemon up a chicken when you roast it.
I'm sure there are more accurate and pleasant ways of typing that - sorry"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper
"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful" - William Morris

I'm definitely thinking apple sauce in buttered filo pastry, egg washed, sprinkled with sugar and baked on high.
Or mixed into sausagemeat and then made into sausage & apple rolls with puff pastry.
Or - meat into casserole dish, add tinned tomatoes, carrots, spuds, etc, with a packet of taco mix, a big blodge of apple sauce for sweetness and some lemons.
Plastic cheese is only ever eaten by the boyfriend in his fridge raiding moments, so I can't help there.
And cocoa powder makes cake.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I occasionally make turkey burgers by mixing apple sauce with some turkey mince - just turkey mince, apple sauce, an egg and lots of seasoning. Then shape into burgers and fry, the apple helps them stay nice and juicy.0

Fish finger sandwiches with slice of cheese and mayo - tastes DELICIOUS, but I can't eat it any more0
