Unknown conversations in yahoo e mail

About once a month i get a unknown message in my conversations box in my Yahoo email.I have no idea where it comes from and do not recognize the name in address bar.Can anybody tell me whats going on please

    I think the OP is asking why, not how to deal with it. I have to zap half a dozen a week, which is quite an annoyance.

    It is probably in the Yahoo chat box, is this correct? If so then this is just the same as receiving a spam email except they spam message you instead.

    Yahoo is not in the business of making your email addy a secret.
    If you go into any Yahoo site e.g chat or games then it's easy to work out that your mail address would be something like [EMAIL="billyolly@yahoo.com"]billyolly@yahoo.com[/EMAIL] or [EMAIL="Guardsman@yahoo.co.uk"]Guardsman@yahoo.co.uk[/EMAIL]

    As I said before just block it

    I have just had another address show up in my conversation box that i do not recognize.I have to open the folder before it shows the address and it is with Yahoo .I have been told that i can block it but do not know how to ,can someone help please.All did was report it as spam
