MyHermes via Payperparcel - lost parcel but no claims process

I sent a parcel with MyHermes via Payperparcel. on looking at their terms before booking it stated all domestic services have £50 compensation, did not mention for all couriers except MyHermes.
Two weeks on I was notified the parcel was not delivered, tracking had it as being collected but that is it. Parcel Monkey looked into it and told me the parcel had got lost.
they then went onto tell me there is no claims process with myHermes.
I am fuming, had I know this I would not of bought this service.
I'm hoping there is some way I can claim my money back for the lost parcel.

Has anyone here claimed money back from hermes recently for lost items?
Myhermes have a claims process , apparently pay per parcel didn't opt for this service with them as it costs extra. Myhermes keep telling me their terms with pay per parcel are they will compensate customer themselves for any losses etc. However pay per parcel are now ignoring my emails.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

Looks like it's time to send them some strongly worded letters mentioning "letter before action" and giving Payperparcel seven days to pay compensation. Then you have to decide whether it's worth going the small claims route.
Your contract is with Payperparcel, and the details of their relationship with MyHermes is of no consequence. Have you printed out copies of Payperparcel's Terms of Service before they can change them?0 -
payperparcel are scamming you, myHermes do have a claims process. I would simply tell them you are taking them to court, as it's their legal obligation to deal with the problem, you should not contact Hermes at all. If PayPerParcel still don't send, send them a letter before action by recorded delivery. If they still don't respond positively, small claims court it is. It's £25 but that's refunded if you win, which you should.0
