Ppi

My future DIL asked me to check something on her NW CC statement. On it has Payment Protection. I asked how long she had been paying it, she didnt know!! I have checked and she started this card in 2008 and has only paid the minimum amount each month so her debt is rising. As she was only employed as a temp when she took this card out has she got a case for miss selling?. We have written to NW as per your advice and had a letter back today that tells her card is being managed by Collections & Recoveries Dept and she has a £12 overlimit charge on. She has never missed a payment and pays the minimum each month. We rang them and she has been being charged £12 for the last 3 months. They told her the minimum amount does NOT cover the PPI and that is the reason she has gone over. Can she cancel the PPI now if she is can pursue a claim? Is it worth pursuing as the amount is shown on her statement every month but she never opens them:o!!
