WOW I bet you didn't think it would all fall into place so fast :T, just the big ones left now, and it look like the first one will be gone this year too.

I bet when you started that you didn't really think that once you get to 2008 you would only have 1 debt left.

Have managed to get there settlement figure down to £1300 so with me and my wife working our fingers to the bone doing extra work (cleaning and gardening for other people) and using all of our spare cash after other financial commitments (food,gas.lec and so on) we have managed to get the money together and will be paying them this Saturday....

Mmm now this leaves us with a bit of a problem T.B.I FINANCIAL SERVICES not a very nice company to deal with haven't been very approachable in any way. Our liability with them is £5000 and the last settlement figure we got was £4900 see me thinks that we will have to save like mad and get a half decent amount to dangle in front of them like a carrot to see if they will take it....

Congratulations!! This year, you are doing so well!! I've just read through your thread and you're getting rid of your debts so quickly! You said in a previous thread that you wouldn't be paying Yorkshire Building Society until December and instead you'll be paying it off at the beginning of August! Great work! I'm sure at this rate you will easily be debt free by the end of the year! Keep up the good work, it's really good inspiration!

Well what can I say at this moment I am sat in our own house that we have managed to buy (yes we got a mortgage) Ok we are going to be paying it for the next 25 years but at least we will have somthing to show for it at the end....

Unfortunatly we still havent paid off T B I Financial srevices as they will not move on the £4900 settlemant figure so we have decided to just keep paying them the £45 per month (we owe them £5000 and dont pay any interest on it)....

Well Done ALL of you in the This Year household - you've had a great 2007 by the sounds of it. Keep plugging away and I'm sure you'll crack it sooner than you think.

I feel most inspired to keep going no matter how long some days and weeks feel.
