Why do pictures keep moving on MS word?

Hey, this is extremly frustraiting as I am trying to complete sonme coursework for college, and the pictures keep moving, which keeps messing the layout of my coursework up! can any1 please help ASAP!

    This happens allot with ms word you just have to watch where your typing. Also change the image properties to 'tight' then you can move it easy and should stay in place better.

    My DH has this problem, I know it's something to do with the dog image and which type of layout you pick, I can usually fix it but I have to be there. I am sure someone who knows the technical terms will be along soon.

    Ok I have had a play with word and pictures, first of all go into View /Toolbar and select Picture ( that's where the dog picture comes into it.

    If you want to type above and below the picture but not around it select top and botton, tight will type either side of the picture on the page.

    If I was you I would open a blank word doc and have a play around rather than get frustrated on the actual work you are trying to do.

    Anchoring the picture to the correct place in your document can help, you'll find it in Format-Picture-Position - those few options 'Float over text', 'Move object with text' and 'Lock anchor' can make a huge difference!
