Probably not much help but when I lived in France about 15 years ago I used to bring back large rolls of foil and decent envelopes - they were much cheaper at the time, not sure about cost difference these days though!

Olive oil, coffee, duck fillets, confit de canard, Toulouse sausage, Scottish smoked salmon(really!), cheese, lardons, pate (we love the chilli and beer ones), garlic, haricot beans (in tins), dry pasta (we think there is a bigger choice of smaller shapes) and chocolate.
Some cosmetics are cheaper (according to missesh) such as loreal.
When our offspring were at school, we also brought stationery back - pens etc.

I think there are less bargains nowadays though.

Tiles - Most DIY stuff is cheaper and sometimes the government does a "special offer" & temporarily reduces VAT on DIY stuff to 5%!

You can get some good cheap toys in the hypermarket.

Also, a lot of food is much better quality for the same money as the UK.

If you like Brie you can buy 'Brie de meaux' (i think that is how you spell it!) Tesco sell it pre-packed it is their Finest.

They sell it on the cheese counter in Auchan and is so cheap and lovely.

Just make sure you know your prices in the UK before you go especially if you want some thing in particular, as anything could be a bargain in France!

CD's tend to be cheaper. Don't forget there's always the fantastic range of wines and champagne on offer.

:T Try https://www.cheaperferries.com to get there!

My mother gets her HRT prescription from France! I think it saves her about £75 a month. But I'm pretty sure other over the counter medicines such as painkillers, hydrocortisone cream, Zovirax etc is a lot cheaper in Europe.
