Good morning everyone!
Just reporting that I have transferred another €30 into the baby fund. I haven't been doing very well, have I?!
Peonie you have saved so much - well done!
Princess Lou I'm glad everything is going well with your pregnancy!

Castlelough - you're doing better than me though! Just think of it like that's 30 more euros than you had before and every cent counts!
I want to start buying some basics - some plain white bodysuits/vests - does anyone have any idea how many of these i will need for each baby per size? I was thinking 14 per baby, per size? They come in packs of 7, and was going to buy 7 sleeveless (they will be summer babies), and 7 short sleeved in both newborn and 0-3 sizes for each baby. Is this enough or do you think i need more?
Also, an update, last week we went for our 16 week scan (we have a scan every two weeks now because we're having identical twins) and the consultant thought they saw boy parts on one of them so we could be having two baby boys! My husband is pleased, although we're trying not to think too much of it until she sees something again maybe next time or at the 20 week scan. :jMortgage - £105,5000 -
Ooh that is exciting Princess Lou! :j
I would say you should chat to some mothers and see how many they think sound right. Don't forget babies grow very quickly out of newborn and little sizes, and also you will receive lots of gifts and donations of these type of things to0 (mostly in newborn sizes!)
Would you consider just saving up for a bit and then going on a little spree! (especially when you'll know what you'll be having in a few more weeks!)
In the meanwhile chat to other new mums and online on the baby websites for ideas of what you'll need - look for threads for twin mums-to-be or advice from other twin mummies as it will probably be very useful!Debts: Credit Card: €6000 ---> €5050 Feb 25 \ Overdraft: Step 3/100

What a brilliant challenge!
I hope something like this is about next year as my aim is to get rid of debts this year and save £3-5k in 2014. TTC date is going to be around summer 2014 hopefully.
Good luck everyone!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

Well ladies how are we all doing?
Transferring another €75 to the Baby Fund today, bringing it up to €150.:j
The only thing is.... I miiiiiiighhhht end up having to spend the Baby Fund on my four-legged baby! We'll see - it's good to have it there anyway!
This month was our first month ttc again after the mc but tested yesterday and it was negative. Still it gives us a while longer to get our finances sorted!:DDebts: Credit Card: €6000 ---> €5050 Feb 25 \ Overdraft: Step 3/100

Hello,
Very new here but been lurking for a while.
I would love to join this challenge if that's okay?
We are currently trying for baby number 2. Our little girl is three.
I am the main bread winner (husband is home half the week with Small and has a low hourly rate when he is at work) and I only get SMP so have a big pile of cash to get in place to cover the 9 months that I want off work.
I will do my sums and come back with the figures but in the meantime wanted to say hi and good luck to everyone.Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Have number crunched!
The shortfall that we will need to have saved is about £7500.00.
We have saved all the child benefit since DD was born so have £3000 there and £976.78 in our baby savings account.
So that's £3523.22 to go.

Have transferred £100 to baby fund.
Saw a tip on another thread (which I now can't find to credit.... Doh) which is to check online banking every day, round down to nearest pound and transfer the change to savings = 40p. Every little helps right?!Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117
