Hi

Have had a few quotes for replacement windows and doors I have narrowed it down to two companies and was wondering if anyone on here have any experience of using them?
They are Everseal home improvements and lifestyle home improvements both based near Bristol?

Stay away from the big boys as they will overcharge you. Find a local independent who has rave reviews.

    Cheers

I don't think there 'big boys' have had 4 quotes and there very similar, we're getting 6 windows, one set of French doors, new front door and side panel for porch, back door removed and blocked up with new electrical sockets put in too for £3950 which I though was ok.
Everseal are on rated people.com and have good reviews can't find any reviews for lifestyle though. Really can't make my mind up as don't want to get stuck with a cowboy

How do you find a local place with rave reviews? I've been looking recently.. don't know anyone who's used any of the companies.. and cause theyre small local companies, there's no reviews or anything on the internet...

I'm also for using local companies. As long as they dont use sub contractors.

When you get a price from them, ask for names of people they have installed windows for.

People dont mind giving you recommendations.

I went to one persons house once, and they told me, 'I wouldnt touch them with a barge pole' lol.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
