Cadbury's Creme Eggs - Smaller

Have you felt your eggs have been getting smaller but been told ' No - you're getting bigger', well they are getting smaller which has been proved in USA at least.

I seem to remember some years back we bought the nephew/neice cadbury's a pack of 6 creme eggs and they were in an 'egg carton' - same size as what normal eggs come in.

This year I saw the packaging 8 creme eggs came in and it was the same size as before - so they must definitely be getting smaller!

They are probably doing alot of fatties and compulsive eaters a favour.

Instead of eating 10 Cadburys cream eggs a day someone might think again if they have eaten 15, since they are now smaller.

In any event the old Cadburys cream eggs were too big for children to eat. There was way too much bad fat in them.


Dont forget ALOT of companies are now doing this. Alot.

I've alway thought there should be a web site or similar to track these sort of things over time, Creme Eggs, Mars bars, Wagon wheels etc and record it for posterity.

Although there are claims that this reduction in size doesn't apply to the UK - LINK

Much more useful than the standard shopping basket the government always witters on about when comparing prices

When I was a kid I remember my mum used to hide these in the egg tray in the fridge. When I tried this last year they were too small and fell through the holes....
I have an idea though - if anyone has an ancient calorie counter book with the calorie content of an egg we could see if there were more in them then???

I said this just last week they are most definitely smaller as are wagon wheels, curly wurly's and flakes are tiny now! Such a con the bigger the better I say and on that note I think I need some chocolate after not eating any for the 6 weeks of lent need to make up for it now.
