I hate it when companies continually post on Facebook things like 'Hope you haven't forgot it is Father's Day this Sunday - how could we forget when 98% of company posts in your feed from at least a month before the date are advertising Father's Day gifts!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

My pet hate at the moment is the world cup competitions that are only giving away a prize based on the possibility of someone winning a match scoring a goal or Rooney doing a mooney after scoring a hat trick on a Thursday.

Seriously people either give away a prize or don't

I'm fed up with Clicks To Wins. I've given up entering them for now! I want to be able to just click my way through them, not have to fill in all the anti-spam questions.

An MSE thing is pretty annoying when trying to end date comp.

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

I think my pet hate is when I am forced to give answers that I feel are untrue, usually because they haven't designed the form very well. The same thing often applies when filling in surveys.

    1) If they asked me what country I come from I was initially always looking for England as an answer, because the UK is not a country but England is. Hooray for visitscotland.com :rotfl:

    2) When they ask for your nationality. I am yet to encounter a form that offers "British" as an option, I usually have to put United Kingdom - which I do not feel is a nationality.

    3) Mother and baby websites that insist I register to enter comps then insist that I give the date that my baby is due to be born, or weddding websites that insist that I give the date of my upcoming wedding in order to register. There must be loads of people thinking about planning a wedding that haven't yet decided a date!

    4) When they ask a question along the lines of: Where did you hear about this comp?

    A) Edinburgh Times
    B) Kirkcaldy Herald

    5) When they insist that your address has to have 2 lines before the Town/City.

    6) When they are putting an asterisk next to items that are compulsory, they don't put an asterisk against one of them but they won't accept your submission because you didn't complete the item that wasn't asterisked :p

    7) They allow you to submit your form without having answered the question, then when you realise that you messed up and try to submit the form again with the question answered, you are smugly informed that you have already entered it :rotfl:

The fact that despite me always ticking the box to say I don't want any contact from 3rd parties etc that i'm getting loads of spam calls & texts from 3rd parties.

I did receive one call on my mobile (which is the only number that I have ever given in comps) from a very noisy call centre about reclaiming PPI, but I told them I was registered with the TPS and have heard nothing since.

That's not really related to comping IMNVHO, but it does make me sad that so many things have now been commercialised (Mothers' Day, Valentines' Day, Fathers' Day) that if you receive something now it doesn't feel quite as precious as it used to, and you can't help wondering whether they bought it because they had been nagged into it and felt obliged to :rotfl:
Thanks to all who post constructively.

When you submit a form and the page refreshes with the form appearing blank again. You think something's gone wrong then you eventually notice 'Thanks for your entry' in tiny writing somewhere on the page!

Just had one of those infamous emithers that goes along the lines of - 'you entered a competition with ******** company'......

'But you haven't won this time':mad::mad::mad::mad:

Why waste my time (by me getting excited by the header and quickly opening it) and yours by sending it.

Like those phone calls you get saying 'you entered a competition, and we are pleased to tell you, that you can have copies of that magazine for £1 for 3 months'

Kindly jog on and stop building peoples hopes up!! That is all!!
BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

comping = nowt more thrillin' than winnin':T :j

When pages are slow to fully load and jump around like a frogs backside while you're trying to tick a box!
Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!
