Using credit card to pay nursery bond/deposit

Hi all
I have also posted this in the stoozing section, but may get more looks here;

I am about to reserve my child a place at a local nursery. They require a bond (refundable) and deposit (non-refundable) to be paid to reserve the place. I have been told I can pay by credit card.

I am about to receive the capital one aspire world card, so was wondering if I could use this to get 5% CB - i.e. would this be treated as a purchase or as a cash advance?

It all comes down to how they put it through their system/ card machine. I suspect it will be treated as a purchase but given part will be refunded then the cashback earned will also be reversed for that part

I dont think it will be refunded to the card as the refund will occur when our child finishes nursery - prob in 3 years time. I believe they just deduct the amount from final nursery fee bill
