I have been transferred from ib to esa WRAG. I have been long term ib and apart from physical problems I also have problems going out and dealing with people. Following 12 months counselling I am struggling to go out out once a week with my daughter to local shop. I only go to medical appointments (never alone) do not socialise, let people in my home(only family). This was stated on my ATOS report. I am terrified having to attend this advisor. Please anyone give me advice how to deal with this. As my husband is working I will cease to recieve benefit after 365 days as I will not be entitled to income based.

  • Presumably you're being called in for a work focussed interview (WFI) at jobcentre with your personal advisor? If you're going to struggle to get there then some people have success in asking for it to be held over the phone instead. Otherwise perhaps someone can go with you?

There is the consideration of Support group which isn't time limited for contribution based ESA payments. It may be worth looking at the possibility of appealing if you feel you have a case for meeting at least one of the Support group descriptors. If you got into support group obvious work related activity such as WFIs wouldn't be necessary.
