Sending something to Italy (tracked)

    Thanks.

    About 2kg 15x10x10 cm

If it's over 2kg even by a gram, then you cannot use Royal Mail.

I use transglobalexpress or p4d for all my parcels and haven't had a single problem with Italy.

Trans aren't necessarily the cheapest but they are quicker for me but only as I have a daily collection.

Lots of people will say to avoid Italy and for Paypal transactions you must use a method that will be trackable online. However some people get blinded....(!) and can't see the wood for the trees.

If you have adequate insurance then there won't be an issue.

Yes that would probably be about the norm. You may get something cheaper from the courier thread and via someone like parcel monkey but I haven't used them personally and so can't recommend. There is a regular poster on there (who's name escapes me) but he seems to know the ins and outs of most of the couriers.
  • Italy is PERFECTLY safe if you use an adequate service.

No it isn't. As the OP states, many people have had problems with shipping to Italy.

Yes and as you can see on this thread, many don't. In fact more on this thread (so far) don't rather than the one that seems to!

Many people have problems with scammers, many don't.

Many people get run over by buses but many don't.

A parcel can go missing anywhere, even in the UK on special delivery. But the point is, you make sure you as the sender are adequately covered.

Exactly what is your point? What is your worry?

I have given the OP a safe way to send they are even more safely covered by taking BT as payment.

And USA, and Russia, and France, and Germany and UK and and.
    Tracked = covered.

The company i work for would sent parcels to Italy on a regular basis and i would say we have an average of about a 90% completion! and that's using Royal Mail and there counterparts across the pond.

We use the International Recorded Signed For service with additional compensation for those that do go missing so we are able to recoup the funds and get our customer sorted in better time.

Italy is on my blocked list and probably always will be. I unblocked it once earlier this year, sent an item which disappeared and it now remains blocked despite pleading from potential Italian buyers.
