To protect your account , and to continue using your PayPal Account , you must Confirm your PayPal Account within the next 48 hours to verify your participation.. Failure to do so might result in permanent suspension & Deletion of your account.

Verify your account now
If your bank account stays 'unverified' for over a period of days, it will be permanently deleted. This delay is necessary to discourage users from engaging in fraudulent activity.

If your account needs verifying the easiest way to check is to log into it.

Scam - it has all the hallmarks. Time pressure, poorly written, silly notions...
Hover your cursor over the link, it will reveal the URL it points to. It will look unusual. As theonlywayisup says, always log into PayPal with a new window/tab by typing in the address or use a known safe bookmark - even if the email is genuine, it's a good habit to get into.
This email is just after your bank account details. The threat to let someone else use your 'email name' is total nonsense.
It's worth forwarding the mail to PayPal's 'suspicious emails' link so they know what's going on.A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to let alone - Thoreau0 -

Thanks for your replies. I logged into Paypal but everything was fine. It made me suspicious due to the fact they were giving my email address away. Will forward to Paypal.
Thanks for the advice.0 -

[I agree it's a scam!]0 -
Also as a uk User, the paypal registration info should be for Luxembourg , not California...
I do chuckle at there official 'Recent Paypal activity, virtual supermakes plus exclusive offers' emails that they do sent out -- way to give scammers a 'proper' template to work from!0
