"Hotkey" accessible clipboard

Hi there,

I've got a friend who uses a very old word processing package, LocoScript, primarily because it it has a particularly helpful feature that essentially allows mapping multiple clipboards to key combinations (say Ins+1). Unfortunately, its totally unsupported and it's got worse between XP and Win7.

So I'm looking for a way to do this for any other word processor. I've already found MacroKeys, which looks suitable, but I'm wondering if there's anything else out there that I've missed so far.

Thanks,
Tim

I tend to store chunks of text that I know I'll use again in multiple notepad sessions. Usually have four or five notepad windows open and one word doc.

Switch to notepad, select, copy - switch to Word, set pointer, paste

With graphics, multiple Paint sessions would do the same....
