What about a picture ... perhaps a watercolour of your favourite place, a pencil portrait, or have you both got a favourite photo of a special memory and could have it enlarged and framed??0

For my hubby I had our favourite photo from honeymoon enlarged onto canvas and put into a frame. its a fair size, can't remember measurements and can't find tape measure but i got it done in snappy snaps and paid about 40 quid. most of the supermarkets with photo shops do this also, or you can upload your pic and do it online. You could probably get it done much cheaper too. Theres also a shop on ebay called grange printing that put photos onto canvas for a real bargain.Fight for clean hospitals, C-DIFF takes lives

            Hi
For our 1st wedding anniversary last year we put our money together and brought a 'love bench' ( wooden thing for garden with two seats either side of a table that are all connected).
we are hoping that it will be something that lasts for a long time, its practical yet romantic to sit together and watch our kids running around the garden while having a nice bottle of wine together!!
 Happy shopping!!

Not a suggestion, but thought id tell you about my 3rd wedding anniversary yesterdy. We had agreed not to do prezzies. I normally am extravegant with gifts and always do nice cards. Well i forgot to get one for hubby - eeek!
So he produces a lovely card. Then after work he pulls out a white gold and diamond necklce.
How bad do i feel - but obviously greatfull!
I need to thin of something now to thank him properly.
Gifts i have done previously, Leather wallet engraved with a personal message. He loved that. I bought him a star named our names and wedding date for our first. As the symbol for 1st is paper and all we have to show for it is a paper certificate!0

Nah, you had agreed not to buy presents so I would just say a heartfelt thanks and give him a big hug- keep your money AND the necklace- very MSE:money:Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
