RBS Credit Card

Hi,
I had a credit card with RBS some years ago and did,nt think i,d be able to claim ppi back as i had no details--however i managed to find the long number you have across your card and phoned the company up--they took all my details and said they would be in touch,
A few days ago i had a letter to say the number i give was,nt enough information and they could not find my account number from the details given--so therefore i did not have a claim,
Does anyone know if there is anywhere you can write to for this type of information as i also had store cards from Next and New Look which again i have no details to as they are paid off as the credit card was so i got rid of the paper work when i had a sort out shortly after as i did,nt think i,d need them again,
Would be grateful for any help.
