Notice re end of ESA (C)

Has anybody received a letter telling them that their ESA (C) is going to end in 8 weeks as we were led to believe when the rules changed earlier this year?

I've got a feeling that it will soon be 12 months since I was swapped from IB to ESA yet have heard nothing to say that my money will be stopped. I've even got another ATOS medical later this week.

Surely they cannot just stop the benefit payment without letting me know in advance and giving me the alternative options?

Yes, I had a letter warning me that my (c)ESa would finish this month. I didn't check, but it seemed to be around 8 weeks in advance.

    Hi
Look at the award letter you got for the ESA cont last year. What date did the award get finalised? For it will be that date + 12 months when it should end. However you state that you are going to another ATOS medical this week, so I expect that if you pass the medical and are judged incapable of working that ESA will go on and you will be popped into the support group.
This link gives the support group descriptors:http://pseudo-living.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/esa-descriptors-and-points.html
(which come under 1-17 WRAG ones and begin at 1 again).
Read them through and see what applies to you.

I doubt I'll get put in the support group as I appealed for this last time around but I have been off sick now for 8 years so expect to be put in the WRAG again. I won't be entitled to Income ESA as my OH works.

I'm just querying the fact that I have not received a letter advising me of what is about to happen.
