Long time lurker; first post.
I had ordered a TV from Appliances Direct, without asking for next day delivery. I received a notification today at 6:19pm that I am receiving my TV TOMORROW. As far as internet deliveries go, this is the shortest notice I have ever received. I tried to check with ParcelForce with the tracking number whether there is any information on when it might be received, but no information was available as of tonight. Now, one of us have to stay home cancelling all appointments at virtually no notice, on 'emergency basis'. Terms and Conditions do seem to mention that if we are not around, we will be charged extra for re-delivery by ParcelForce. What was not mentioned on the website was how short the notice to delivery was going to be (potentially less than 15 hours). I think this is a bit unfair, and Imentioned it to the bloke on the phone at Appliances Direct (0871 number
). As the parcel had been despatched, he said there was nothing he could do.
I am yet to see the delivered TV (hope it's ok!), but thought it might help someone to know this little issue with the company.

No need to panic. If you are not at home, they will redeliver it without charging you extra.

I've never had a courier for a non booked delivery (ie sofa or large furniture etc) that charges for redelivery. I'm sure their white goods which are two man deliveries do charge but not bog standard parcelforce.0

Hi,

if that was sarcasm you need to work on itas I'm not sure how someone posting their item never turned up and had to get their CC company to refund, leads you to believe they are legit :rotfl:

As they say if you have nothing good to say, don't say it.
Maybe you should take your own advice
it was a serious point, 2 people have posted that they both have had problems with this company and one of them is still to receive his item, yet you somehow take these posts are meaning this company is legit!
It might well be but no point confusing the thread with buff information.0
