Just got in from work - have been looking forward to seeing your replies all shift as I could not get into the site at work!
Think the flights for 6 days as quoted here are the best idea, thanks, but think that b&b might be better for me now as it might encourage me to get my !!!! out of bed in the mornings!
Have looked at the Pedros Dos Bicos, works out at just under £170 for 6 nights, or otherwise there is the Boa Vista which was suggested on the last post at £160.51. I think the latter may be better, I like the idea of it being a spa resort. Can I get this any cheaper? I saw it on quickrooms.com.
I know its late now , dont know if anyone is viewing. Any advice would be great.

Thank you so much for your help - but now I've read the reviews you added you've really thrown me - loved the idea of Malta (for a change) and my son stayed at this hotel 2 years back and said it was excellent - I now have second thoughts ... but if not here - where? Malta 10 days in August leaving @ 4th for 4 - any further help much appreciated.0 -

Hi!
Ok.....not Malta expert but I too noticed that for some reason many hotels in Malta get very mixed reviews.
How about this??? 3/8/07, either Manchester or Gatwick (sorry-for 10/11nts can't find any nearer airports), evening flights (8 pm approx), 11 nights, Crete, 5* official grade, (I give it a good 4*), Rinella Beach & Spa Hotel (see http://www.mitsishotels.com/ ), Superior room (ie upgraded-NOT the rooms some people moan about on the reviews-these are standard rooms & whilst ok they are a bit jaded & basic), £3885 all-inclusive inc. taxi transfer & in flt meal-full ATOL package. No card charges/fees.
I'm off there in June! Have stayed at Mitsis Hotles before-v. good standard. You have an a'la carte chinese (!) restaurant (tip-e-mail your reservations in before arriving-otherwise you have to be up v. early to book places at this & the Greek Taverna/Italian restaurant), greek taverna/Italian, private stretch of beach, spa (brand new for this year) & public areas/retaurants have been fully refurbushed. Crete is lovely-so much to explore. As this is peak season I'd think long & hard about ATOL/non-atol-the risk of overbooking/problems is much greater in August.
PM me/call me (detais on web-site) if interested.0 -

I'm not prepared to be checking this board 24 hours a day every day of the week. I will (& have) always try to help people but not at the expense of my paid employment & having a life.
With all this unrest in mind, as someone who's been helped, it would be great if the opening post (as far as possible) had lists of the sits you guys use, so that we can help ourselves a bit more and not rely so much on you (things like travel republic etc).
Also from the point of someone who has been helped, but gives no help in return, i don't think any of you should feel you need to be here or justify not being here, you give freely of your time and any time is appreicated
