hi help would be great - have looked at a week in greece s/c but know will have to spend around £100 a day there so wondering about somewhere further afield that is cheap or perhaps even AI (something i normall avoid but as long as the food is good!!) ideal would be 10 days but appreciate that may be diffulcult so 7 is OK.

Where did you get your quote for £1100 from and what board basis was it ?

MDUK-If you've had a quote of £1100 for Crete for hb or higher then BOOK before it goes! £220 per person-bargain!

Had a quick look & the flights on their own are near to £200-£220!

What accommodation was it? I'd bell them back & double check it-make sure transfers/fuel supps etc are included. Seems TOO cheap to me!

The price is good, we went with them same time last year and it was £1500- it is self catering though- i have stayed at the hotel before so know what to expect and there are good restaurants neary by so was quite happy to go back- however greece is not as cheap as it used to be so we easily spend £100 a day on food and drink which equates to £1800 for the week so wondered about going all inclusive to help the budget.

Travelman i was just about to PM you about Carols Makadi Resort - would this suit?

many thanks to yourself and sloppychops for trying. actually just booked the holiday. went into my local first choise agent they tried to sell me the same holiday for 1462 when i got 1194 on the net. so i asked about price comparisons and they got a quote from firstchoice.co.uk and it was 1363 so i asked they about eclipsedirect

they didnt really know about it but rang head office and i got a price match on it as long as we took travel insurance with firstchoice [48pounds per person]

we were hesitant so i bargained the travel insurance down to half price so total cost for a holiday quoted to us from the firstchice system was 1462 and we got it from them at 1242 plus 2 sets of travel insurance. i love the internet

Glad you are sorted. If I could have sourced the hotel independantly we could have deffo got it sewn up but the suppliers I use don't feature this hotel. Do try me & sloppy/sava (oo err....menage a trois!!) as in most cases I/us can get better deals-enjoy!
