Canon Pixma iP6210D Refill

Options
Hi,

I took the advice from a previous posting I made on the subject and purchased a Canon compatible ink refill kit.

However, although I have refilled the black cartridge, the chip has decided that it is out of ink and will not print.

Are there any chip resetters similar to those found for Epson cartridges, or is there another way around the problem.

Many thanks.

    Hi Tonymc
I have a Canon Pixma ip4200 which also uses chipped cartridges. Reading through various websites it looks unlikely that a chip resetting tool will become available. Compatable ink cartridges can be brought from many suppliers, including Ebay but you have to remove the chip from the Canon cartridge first. You then have to stick this chip on the compatable cartridge. This is pretty easy to do but you do lose printers ability to let you know when the ink is almost finished. Martyboy,

Many thanks for this information. Will have a look on Ebay tomorrow.

    Cheers.
