What is it you want to change on the phone?
Are you saying you have an unfriendly ringtone?0 -
Thanks fishbulb,
I am trying to set various ring ones to different people and there don't seem to be any options to do so, see what I mean?0 -
I'm on Gingerbread (2.3) on a Sony Xperia, but I can do that easily in the contacts.
Find the contact. Hold your finger down on them and select Edit Contact. Scroll to the bottom and you should be able to select a ringtone0 -

I can't speak for the OP but my phone is very unfriendly. The other day it called me a ... nevermind it's not the time for this.0 -
hi fishbulb,
mine is android4 dual core. i does not do the same for me.
What is annoying that there don't seem to be many options, like with little Nokia.

Go onto the individual contact and press the Menu key on the phone (usually left one out of the 3 at the bottom). From there, there's an option to 'Set ringtone'. Repeat as neccesary. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

I had a Gingerbread phone and added custom ringtones. All I had to do was load them to a specific directory and follow the procedure above.
I then upgraded to ICS. The files are still where I put them but are no longer offered as a choice when setting a custom ringtone.
They have either changed something or b*ggered it up.0 -

Well I have figured it out,
go into Audio profile set up,
set up New,
It will come up with all the options.
I need to figure out the messaging and other issues now.

Am I missing something? I'm on ICS and going into the individual contact and pressing Menu brings up the option to set a ringtone for them!!The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
