how do i use the euro button on my keyboard

how do i use it it is on the number 4 button on top is the $ and on the bottom it has the euro sign but dont no how to get it to work i have pressed shift but i can only get the $ not the euro must be some way

it should be a key on your keyboard, somewhere near the spacebar
