Hi everyone, I've been searching the web and can't seem to find an actual answer to my question so here I am.
I am 19 and I have a 2 year old daughter, I am currently claiming income support, housing benefit and child tax credits. I am at college at the moment, but the course really is not for me sadly.
I want to start an apprenticeship but as they are currently 2.65 per hour I want to find out if there is any other support I can get for the first year (it then goes up to minimum wage) because this will not be enough to live on. I've been trying to get a clear idea on any other financial help that is available but can not find anything relevant to my situation.

You can model this scenario by entering the information in the Turn2us online calculator - there's a place to enter your hours of work and salary and it will detail the HB, WTC, CTC, etc you might get.
I think you will lose all or part of your income support but you might qualify for working tax credits but do check out the HMRC website for WTC and apprenticeships.0
